Community Trust South is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Moran (MNZM) as Deputy Chair. Previous Deputy Chair, Lindsay Wright, has stepped down from the role to allow an appropriate handover period, as his term as a Trustee is coming to an end next year. Lindsay will remain as a Trustee until June 2021.
“Lindsay stepping down now and being able to continue to provide support to Bill over the next few months is going to ensure a smooth transition. The entire board are truly thankful for everything Lindsay has done for Community Trust South in the Deputy Chair role. We are very pleased to have Bill moving into this role as he brings with him a significant amount of governance experience.” said Trish Boyle, Chair.
Bill Moran currently holds governance roles with government, private sector, and not-for-profit organisations. Bill is a former Deputy Secretary at the Treasury and his extensive governance experience started 16 years ago as co-founder and Chair of Play It Strange. Today he is Chair of Sport NZ, High-Performance Sport NZ, Turn Up the Music Trust, a director of Pioneer Energy, WorkSafe NZ and a trustee of Youthtown amongst other roles.
Trish Boyle will remain as Chair until her final term as a Trustee ends in June next year. The Trust is currently seeking Expressions of Interests for new Trustees. Detailed information regarding becoming a Trustee can be found here
