If you are applying for an operating grant you can also apply for a project grant at the same time. Otherwise you are only able to receive one grant in 12 months and this is taken from the date a grant is approved.
Our grants budget is limited, and we receive many applications and if your application is unsuccessful we will let you know the reasons why. While you can’t apply for the same project again, you may be able to apply for something else, but give us a call to discuss first.
Organisations can receive one grant, and individuals can receive one scholarship, in a 12-month period (from approval date).
We are a partial funder, so we don’t fully fund projects, so you will need to know where the balance of your funding is coming from. For one-off community projects we fund between 25-30% of total project costs. For operating grants, we fund between 5-15% of your organisation’s annual operating costs.
No, your project or activity cannot be started before you make your application, otherwise we consider it retrospective and therefore won’t fund it. It takes between 6 – 8 weeks for a decision depending on the size of request.
First check your trust deed or constitution, or visit the Societies & Trusts or Charities Services and do a register search of your organisation’s name. Note down your organisation's number and the registered name of the organisation and enter this in your application. Also check out our What We Fund to see who can apply.
You can only apply for up to $2,000, otherwise you need to work with a Funding Partner who is a legal entity. Please call us on 0800 500 815 to discuss.
