That’s why supporting Regional Sports Organisations (RSOs) is an important part of what we do.
Earlier this month, Community Trust South proudly approved $485,614 to be distributed among many Regional Sports Organisations, each contributing to a thriving South through the growth and development of their sporting code.
Through this funding, we back the teams behind the teams, the organisations that design programmes, develop talent, activate spaces, and create opportunities for people of all ages to get moving, connect, and belong. Importantly, RSOs can use their funding where it matters most for them, focusing on the operational priorities that best align with their sporting communities’ needs and aspirations.
Whether it’s delivering grassroots participation, supporting volunteers and coaches, or strengthening the structures that keep sport thriving, RSOs play a vital role in building healthy, connected communities across the rohe/region.
The Trust sees this as an investment not just in sport, but in people, in teamwork, leadership, wellbeing and community spirit. When people are active, communities flourish with active lifestyles boosting physical and mental wellbeing while also activating spaces and places that bring people together.
Because when our communities come together through sport, everyone wins.
